Compressors

Feature (2)
  • Hitting the compressor ‘sweet-spot’
Selecting the right air compressor can be confusing. There are numerous compressor types, variants and options to consider — each of which can impact energy efficiency and operating costs. Identifying a compressor’s ‘sweet-spot’ can help determine if it is right for the application.
  • Maintenance and the efficient use of compressed air
Compressed air is often the highest energy cost for many businesses. Unfortunately, this resource is often seen as unlimited. It is therefore important that this valuable energy source be utilised efficiently, in all processes, at all times

  • CompAir SmartAir Master compressor controller
CompAir has launched SmartAir Master, claimed to be a simple-to-install control system that provides detailed management reports to help plant engineers improve the performance and efficiency of a compressor network.
  • Champion Compressors EcoPak compressors range
Champion Compressors has launched the EcoPak range of compressors. Combining variable speed drives (VSD) with variable output control (VOC), Champion has developed a compressor family that delivers energy-efficient compressed air at the top end of its capacity, and also offers a wide turn-down. The EcoPak is therefore designed for the efficient production of compressed air for applications where there are widely varying compressed air demands.
  • Compressors
Champion Compressors has launched its upgraded variable output compressor (VOC) series. The VOC series has been redesigned to further enhance its ruggedness for use in heavy industrial applications. The latest VOC range employs a direct-coupled gear-drive system designed for harsh, dirty and aggressive environments.
  • Oil-free compressors
Boge has extended their K series oil-free piston compressor range with the addition of 15 and 40 bar options. The K series provides the smaller air user with a compact, energy- and cost-effective, oil-free compressor solution.
  • Wireless compressor monitoring
Logair is a wireless communication system that provides remote monitoring of a compressed air system via either a PC or mobile phone. Logair is a suitable solution where a user wants a permanent online link, a fault detector, a remote data request system and visualisation over the internet without the necessity of a comprehensive management system.
  • Scroll compressor
The Conquest range of oil-free scroll air compressors operates without the use of oil during the compression process, resulting in quality, oil-free compressed air. Compact and low on noise, the scroll air compressors can be conveniently installed close to work areas.
  • Compressor controller
The Boge Focus compressor controller operates according to the customer's actual compressed air demand ensuring optimised system efficiency. It has been designed to ensure simple and reliable control for various operating parameters at two levels and serves to monitor, control and optimise a compressed air system efficiently.
  • Compressors
Boge Compressors has extended their CL series range of compressors by introducing 7.5, 11 and 15 kW models.
  • Environmentally friendly compressors
Champion Compressors has introduced its Enviro range — a series of environmentally friendly cost-efficient air compressors. Complementing Champion’s comprehensive range of rotary screw compressors, the compact tank-mounted Enviro series delivers reliable compressor performance, while providing a number of built-in EH&S features.
  • Compressor energy optimisation system
Boge has announced the airtelligence Provis energy optimisation system, designed to help optimise operating costs, reduce maintenance costs and improve energy efficiency through integrating the airtelligence Provis into a compressed air system with multiple compressors.
  • Compressor power saving
Champion Compressors has launched its ‘PowerSave Options’ suite — a selection of energy-saving systems that can be factory fitted to any compressor in the company’s range. PowerSave Options allows users to customise their air compressor with specific energy-saving features best suited to their application. Incorporating a selection of air-filtration and heat-recovery systems, as well as various air-end and drive configurations, PowerSave Options provides industry with better energy-saving choice and flexibility.
  • Compressors
Champion Compressors has extended its V-Series variable speed drive (VSD) compressor family with the addition of two models: the CSE37V and the CSE45V.
  • Environmentally friendly compressors
Champion Compressors has introduced its Enviro range — a series of environmentally friendly cost-efficient air compressors. Complementing Champion’s comprehensive range of rotary screw compressors, the compact tank-mounted Enviro series delivers reliable compressor performance, while providing a number of built-in EH&S features.
  • Rotary screw compressor
The DSDX rotary screw compressor range has a compact design. Motor powers of either 132 or 160 kW provide air deliveries of 24 to 30 m3/min. Both models in the range (DSDX 243 and 302) are designed for pressures up to 15 bar.
  • Screw compressors
The free air delivery of the 45-90 kW oil-free water cooled SO-W series screw compressors has been improved. System efficiency has also been improved with reductions of up to 4% in the specific power required (kW/m3/min). The result across the range has been to create more compressed air more energy efficiently.
  • Screw compressor
The CLF series frequency controlled screw compressor is the latest product development to come from Boge. An expansion of the CL series, the compact CLF design provides a small footprint whilst a built-in frequency invertor ensures a minimal carbon footprint.
