Split shaft seals for abrasive, dry processes

MECO custom shaft seals are built to withstand industry’s most abrasive products, including sugar, starch, salt, porcelain, gypsum, talc, silica and industrial diamonds.

The seal designs accommodate 6 mm and more of shaft run-out and protect shafts from product damage on dry-running powder and bulk solids processing and handling equipment.

Many MECO seals use a self-compensating driving elastomer as the seal’s only interface with the shaft. This allows the seal to accommodate significant shaft misalignment and shock loads, as well as thermal shaft growth in high-temperature process machinery.

Fully split models can be retrofitted without removal of bearing or drive on such rotating equipment as conveyors, cookers, dryers and blenders. Sanitary seals are available.

The seals are distributed in Australia and New Zealand by: Eagle Burgmann Australia and Eagle Burgmann New Zealand.
