SEW-Eurodrive awarded bulk handling supplier of the year
Drives solutions supplier SEW-Eurodrive is the winner of the 2009 Supplier of the Year award at the Australian Bulk Handling Awards.
Held on Thursday 12 November at Doltone House in Sydney on a thundery and wet evening, MC Paul Martell kept the audience entertained while the winners of eight categories were announced.
Among the many companies being awarded, such as the North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation, Aurecon Hatch and DuPont Australia, SEW-Eurodrive was announced as the winner of the Supplier of the Year award due to its "local assembly, comprehensive range of spares, 24-hour support and products like its X-Series".
General Manager Sales & Operations Nick Lobianco was on hand to accept the award. "SEW-Eurodrive are extremely proud to receive this award," he said. "Over the course of the past few years we have been focused on providing the best products within the shortest time frames to the bulk handling, mining and resources industries.
"This award shows that our efforts have been recognised."
With products such as the MC Series and X Series industrial gear units assembled locally, the company is able to assemble and deliver from its Australian offices in torque ranges from 6 to 475 kNm. These products are supported by a range of other products such as the P Series planetary industrial gear units, XP planetary units and the recently announced larger customised helical and bevel helical units. The customised units can be built to customers' size and torque requirements, often up to 60 tonnes in weight and 8 m in length.
