Three-way ball valve

The type 543 3-way ball valve is soon to be available in sizes DN10 to DN50 and is offered with a broad range of accessories for all variations, from manual valves to automatic valves.

The horizontal version will be available with either L- or T-bore ball configurations. It will be available in PVC-U, PVC-C, ABS, PP-H and PVDF. The vertical version, which has a standard metric solvent cement spigot as the third outlet, will be available in PVC-U and ABS. Besides the L-bore ball configuration, a diverter ball is also available.

Safety aspects have been taken into account during the construction phase. Aside from the added benefit of enhanced buttress threads on all threaded plastic components, a 90° position stop is also available with every horizontal valve. This special 90° position stop can be positioned in two orientations to define the stop position. Furthermore, the ball position is indicated on the stem via an embossed symbol, making the ball position easily visible.

The manual version of the 3-way ball valve can be easily actuated with an available assembly kit. The assembly kit can be used for the configuration of electric or pneumatic actuators from GF Piping Systems.

Made of glass fibre reinforced PP (PPGF30), the standard handle also serves as a tool for adjusting the union bush. The marking of the various ball positions is easily visible due to a clear and bright marking on the handle. Furthermore, the optional multifunction handle incorporates a lockable function so unauthorised use is prevented. It also includes 45° increment indexing which allows for precise and secure 45° positioning of the ball.

The type 543 ball valve is available in the standards ISO, BS, ASTM and JIS. With the integrated threaded inserts of the horizontal version it is quickly and easily installed in any situation. For ease of installation, the same mounting plate for the ball valve 546 and the existing pipe clips can both be used.
