Secomea LinkManager Mobile

Secomea has announced a new mobile software application for allowing secure and remote access to industrial equipment. The solution consists of a control unit at the factory (SiteManager) and a web- or Windows-based client (LinkManager) for an end user. These two components are tied together via an M2M communication server (GateManager) that is available as both a cloud-based service and a stand-alone server.

Where the original LinkManager is intended for remote programming from a Windows PC, the LinkManager Mobile is designed for accessing web-enabled applications such as a custom web GUI of a PLC, an HMI or a webcam. Further, LinkManager Mobile can establish connection to the desktop of equipment running Linux or Windows. Using VNC or an MS Remote Desktop client allows secure remote control of the unit.

LinkManager Mobile can run on an iPhone, iPad or Android smartphones and tablets. The system is suitable for end users that need to remotely access equipment for monitoring status or perform typical operator tasks. LinkManager Mobile supports two-factor authentication login and encrypts all connections, thus ensuring high security.
