Sunday, 07 February, 2010 | Supplied by: ICP Electronics Australia Pty Ltd

ORing’s Greyhound Series IGS-3032GC is a 5-port, managed gigabit ethernet switch that features three 10/100/1000 Base-Tx and two gigabit combination SFP ports.

The switch enables users to connect five gigabit connections to provide very high speed communication. The device is also backward compatible with any 10 and 100 Mbps network devices, allowing it to be integrated within existing ethernet networks.

It supports O-ring ethernet redundant ring technology, which enables less than 150 ms recovery time over 250 units of connection. This feature can protect mission-critical applications from network interruptions or temporary malfunctions due to its fast recovery time. The Greyhound series also supports Open-ring technology, an enhanced redundancy technology that makes ORing’s switches compatible with similar products from other brands.

The switch is equipped with a rigid IP30 housing suitable for operation in harsh environments and a wide operating temperature range of -40 to 70°C.
