HMS Anybus Communicator with DF1 protocol

Tuesday, 17 August, 2010 | Supplied by: Global Automation Asia-Pacific Pty Ltd

The Anybus Communicator from HMS now provides easy fieldbus and industrial ethernet connectivity for industrial devices that have a Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley DF1 protocol interface. Almost any DF1 supported device can now be connected to all major industrial networks and PLC systems.

The DF1 protocol support is provided through the included ABC Config Tool software used for configuring the serial sub-network of the Anybus Communicator. No programming skills are required and no changes are necessary at the field device.

The Anybus Communicator is an intelligent protocol converter that connects automation devices via their serial interface (RS232/422/485). No expensive hardware changes or PLC function blocks are required.

Anybus Communicator gateways have been tested and proven with all leading manufacturers of PLCs such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider Electric, Mitsubishi, ABB, Omron, Hitachi, Beckhoff, Phoenix Contact and Bosch Rexroth.
