Incremental encoder tester

PCA have released an updated version of their incremental encoder tester that provides a facility to fully test any encoder that has square wave output signals.

Additional features provided in the latest version are for testing encoders with HTL input power supply but with a fixed 5 V output signal, and the input power to the instrument can now be any voltage from 90-250 VAC.

This tester provides the user with all the tools in one control box to fully test any square wave signal. The user can read each output signal, measure the supply current and phase rotation, and test the encoder on 5, 12 or 24 V supplies. The encoder is connected using either the spring-loaded terminal posts for individual wires, or an adapter lead through a 9-pin D-type plug. For the advanced user there is an additional 9-pin D-type plug for connection to an oscilloscope.
