Advantech Australia's industrial automation product division has released the TPC-1260H fanless touch-panel computer. Combining a rugged 12.1" SVGA TFT LCD touch screen display with a powerful, passively-cooled 1 GHz CPU, it provides a high-performance HMI workstation for mission-critical automation applications.

At the core of the TPC-1260H is the Transmeta Crusoe 5800 CPU, which is a low-power x86 compliant processor that provides high computational power with the reliability of a fanless system. The TPC-1260H features a rugged yet slim Al-Mg enclosure, and can also be fitted with spindle-free (solid-state) storage.

The system provides a comprehensive I/O selection, and has expansion capability to meet a wide range of requirements. Two PCMCIA ports and two PC/104-Plus slots are provided to allow expansion capability, while the embedded UPS function can avoid accidental system shutdowns caused by power interruptions. In addition, the TPC-1260H features four serial ports, one parallel port, one 10/100 BaseT ethernet port, two USB ports, one PS/2 port and one VGA port for a complete system interface.

The TPC-1260H supports Microsoft Windows XP, 2000, CE .NET and XP Embedded.
