Australian Utility Week 2016 is a large-scale expo dedicated to Building Digital Futures. It takes place on 29–30 November 2016 at Australian Technology Park, Sydney. The event is now in its 14th year and will attract more than 1500 utility professionals from the electricity, gas and water sectors. The speakers are a mix of Australian and international utility leaders, Smart Grid technology innovators and R&D professionals. Delegates can hear keynote addresses and presentations delivered by industry professionals from organisations such as TransGrid, Sydney Water, AGL New Energy, Melbourne Water, South East Water and Energy Consumers Australia.

Users can visit over 150 exhibitors plus other free sessions on the expo floor that includes an Innovation Zone, Technical Zone, Start Zone, Focus Groups and Track 1 of the conference on both days. The event is a one-stop shop for gaining new knowledge, discussion of the current issues facing the industry and networking with more than 1500 utility professionals.
